Industries across the board are being rocked by a growing wave of digital workplace innovations that are automating processes, reducing costs, and changing the expectations of customers and employees for all businesses… including banks and insurers. According to a recent study by Quantum Workplace, the risk of delivering poor service in banking is too high to be ignored: 20% of banks' lost business to competitors is due to poor service.¹

Accordingly, a great deal of fintech innovation is focused on improving the customer experience via mobile solutions and on reducing costs by automating processes. Despite the focus on disruptive innovation and automation, a global survey of over 10,000 respondents conducted by Accenture Strategy and Gallup found that people are surprisingly positive about the impact of digital technology on the workplace. In fact, fully 84 percent of workers surveyed are excited about the impact of digital technologies on their job. Research shows that factors, such as well-being, engagement, and quality of life are equal to, if not more important to workers than income and benefits. More than two-thirds of the respondents said that digital workplace technologies would help them be more efficient, learn new skills and improve the quality of their work.
